Microsoft Remote - Confirm Delete Problem

Hi all,

Hope you can help.

I recently moved from the remote control that comes with my Avermedia A16D Tuner to a microsoft remote control.

After a few teething problems I thought I had it all working, but I am finding now that once I have watched a recorded TV show and I go to delete it, I get the confirm delete message coming up as normal, but when I choose yes with the okay button on the remote it clicks on the screen and then just sits there.

If I hold down the own button it will flash yes a few times and then delete.

Anyone have any ideas on this.

Apart from that any other function that requires the okay button seems to work fine.

Thanks

Argy

Re: Microsoft Remote - Confirm Delete Problem

Try using a mouse to delete the recorded TV, just to see if it is a romote control problem.

Thanks for your reply!

Its the Microsoft Remote and Receiver, the OEM version for XP with the teletext buttons at the bottom.

Re: Microsoft Remote - Confirm Delete Problem

ok. i had troble with a third party IR reciever, thats why i ask.
As for your problem well i am all out of idears.
I know Microsoft Remote's can learn IR commands from other remotes.
So you can make your Microsoft Remote learn the "OK" comand form a working remote and map it to the OK button. but thas not a easy solution
sorry i could not help.
