Logitech z-680 Remote

Hello,

I just pruchased a set of second hand z-680 logitech surround speakers for my MCE. I have not tried them yet so I hope they sound ok.

Anyway , the bloke i bought them off could not find the remote, he has faithfully promised to look for it and get it to me if he finds it, but in case this never happens I would like some advice.

Does anybody know if the logitech remote for these speakers works with a universal remote of any kind or is compatible with a different brand remote etc.

Regards
Brett

Re: Logitech z-680 Remote

One would assume that Logitech's Harmony remotes would have their own product pre-programmed. Worse comes to worse, buy yourself a 525 Harmony and send it my way, I'll "program" it using my Logitech Z-680 remote...

Yes the 525 Harmony remote will control it. Just go to the Harmony web site and select Z-680 and say you don't have the remote.

Talking Re: Logitech z-680 Remote

Thanks Guys for your suggestions.

Here is what i eneded up doing and it cost me nothing. Which is the price i wanted to pay.

I have a Windows Mobile PDA so i downloaded TV remotecontroller 5.7 from www.pdawin.com

I also downloaded a logitech z-680 ccf file from
http://www.remotecentral.com
click on files and search for logitech.

I installed the software and loaded the CCF file, checked it operated the speakers ok, which it did. I then taught my Microsoft MCE remote using may PDA.

Smiles all round, WAF is high.

Regards
BT
