Thermaltake TR2 470W PSU

Hi, just wondering if anyone has this power supply - how much noise does it produce?

A friend of mine has the Zalman 460W noiseless PSU which also seems OK but I can get the Thermaltake a little cheaper.

Re: Thermaltake TR2 470W PSU

Hi amaru96,

I have a Thermaltake Toughpower 750W and it is very quiet, mind you it rarely runs at 50% load and therefore the fan never reaches any speed where noise would be noticable. As for the T2, looking at the specs 19 dB at 2000 rpm is quiet but I notice they do not tell you the noise level at the max fan speed of 2,400 rpm.

Regards,

Craig.

Re: Thermaltake TR2 470W PSU

Just an update on this, I bought one of the PSU's to use in a new computer I built for my daughter. The power supply is very quiet and I am pleased with it.

Craig.
