Logitech RF Extender

I just discovered the existence of this and was excited by the prospect that it might solve all my hometheatre remote issues. I already have the harmony 885 but havent used it much because i dont have clear line of sight to all IR receivers in my hometheatre.

The device has a USB port, which i presume is for updating software by the net. But what i am not sure about is whether this would replace the Microsoft MCE IR receiver. ie. Can i swap my MCE receiver with the logitech one and still use the Microsoft MCE remote (in case of any issues with harmony?) Or would i need to have both receivers connected? (which would kinda suck).

Anyone have one of these can shed some light? Also any opinions/experiences with the product would be appreciated.

Thanks!
