Wake/Sleep issues - not quite going to sleep.. VDU?

I have a task that updates my EPG via bladerunner at 6am in the morning... Ive setup the task to run as my standard "User", which is the same as the login for running MCE and to wake up to perform the task. At the end of the evening i sleep the computer which switches off the VDU on the case (Zalman HD135). In the morning, the power light is on and the thing is running, but with no VDU. Turn on the screen and there is no display (display is not in sleep mode either). So hit a key to wake the computer and displays the XP - "going to standby" and then goes back to sleep - but with the VDU on.

My first thoughts are that its not going back to sleep correctly, and because the VDU is on on the case - something todo with the m.play software? any ideas where to start with this?

Thanks

Simon
Bump. Just got my zalman case back from the suppliers. The power button was stuffed. But i have had my HTPC in a desktop case with no VDU or remote for a month or so and have had no issues as above. Now its back in the zalman case - same issues.

Searching on google, i found my own post first!

Can anyone help with this?
