Getting MCE to talk to a Panasonic TU-DSB35 Sky Box

I've been helping a friend set up his media centre PC. All has gone relatively smoothly apart from setting up his Sky digibox.
It's plugged into the analogue input on his Hauppage 1300 Hybrid card.
When running the TV setup it auto detects the video signal fine, recognises the Sky remote but wont change channels from the MCE remote. I've tried the auto discover and manually selecting Panasonic from the list and going through all 15 of the codes manually.
Does anyone else have this set top box that has got it to talk to MCE?
