Orb Media Streaming

Is anyone using Orb to stream content from their MCE box?

I came across this recently and did a search on this site, it seems that some people have had a play, does anyone use it in a purposeful way?

I notice they have recently added Beta support for digital tuners.

http://www.orb.com/

Quick overview for those who haven't heard of it:

"Once the Orb software is installed on your "always-on" home PC, your computer acts like your personal broadcasting system. You now have the ability to stream content through any internet-connected device like a mobile phone, PDA, laptop or any other computer.
No additional hardware or software is necessary to be installed on any of the web-enabled devices you want to use. With Orb, you can start MyCasting your photos, music, videos, live or recorded TV, documents and more right now..."

Re: Orb Media Streaming

Seems similar in concept to a sling box. www.slingmedia.com

However, Orb sounds heaps better in relation to a MCE PC as a sling box takes an AV input and broadcasts it.

Have you ever tried PCAnywhere, VNC, RemoteDesktop for this sort of stuff?
I tried using RemoteDesktop as an extender solution. Very little success with video though... Now have an XBox360 ; Micro$oft...

Re: Orb Media Streaming

Orb is great, but it doesn't get it's EPG from media center. So homebrew EPG people beware. Also, if Orb had a media center plugin so I can stream my content to another box within media center, that would be awesome. Currently you have to use a web browser to get orb stuff.

Good software overall though.. stream's movies, mp3's and live tv with channel changing.
