Talking MusicalFolders v1.4.4

Hey all,

Time for a new version. Version 1.4.4

Here are the new things in this version:
• Now shows current directory on folder view
• Fixed some bugs
• Faster browsing (as MP3 tags are disabled by default)

Download from http://www.ssw.com.au/daniel/home/MediaCentre.aspx

Re: MusicalFolders v1.4.4

Faster browsing sounds most excellent. The idea in the last thread about being able to press a number on the remote and having it jump to the corresponding letter would be soooo awesome :-)

I still get the following error quite regularly;

An error has occured in the script on this page.
Line: 73
Char: 7
Error: 'document.getElementByld(...)' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://localhost/MusicalFolders/FolderView.aspx

I click YES I want to keep running scripts, and it never comes up again. I only ever get it the first time I open Musical Folders, and not every time.

Re: MusicalFolders v1.4.4

Hello,

This is a life saver for me, with over 9000 tracks (50gig) of files, MCE is just aweful at handling that many mp3's.

I was wondering if these bugs are fixed in 1.4.4. I'm not sure if they were recorded as bugs in previous version but here is what Ive had trouble with:
  • On some of my MP3's, the file extension .mp3 was in uppercase and musical folders did not recognise the files until i converted to lower case.
  • I have a harmony 880 remote running through IMON VFD. I cannot navigate using the remote because one folder is always selected and when i go UP or Down or Left or Right, it jumps straight back to the same folder. Using the keyboard or mouse is fine.
I will try 1.4.4 tonight. Is there an uninstall process or does it just install over the top of 1.4.2?

Re: MusicalFolders v1.4.4

Well, Both bugs are still present.

Anything with extension in uppercase .MP3 cannot be seen by musical folders.

For some reason the mouse pointer gets focus on a folder, then the remote control is useless. I confirmed this by clicking outside of the folder area with the mouse, and remote worked fine. I then hovered the mouse pointer over a folder icon, and remote selection always bounced back to the mouse pointer position. By default, this is the behaviour with the IMON VFD.
