Musical Folders V6.1 for Vista Ultimate

Heya Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has cracked the vista issue everyone was having?

A few months back i sat down for a good 3-4 hours attempting to figure it out for myself and i ended up just leaving it. I remember going through and editing all my IIS features which obviously didn't work.

I have just installed v6.1 again today and am still getting the same error.

"UNABLE TO DISPLAY PAGE
The server is not responding, or there is something wrong with your proxy server. Try again later or contact your administrator for assistance."

I am running Vista Ultimate.

I also remember searching the earth high and low for a similar program and i couldn't find any other sort of similar plug in. I can't beleive this is the case.. I find it to be such a usefull program. The music folder setup in WMC is the only thing that really kills it for me.

anyways, if anyone has had any luck pleaseeeeeee share.

thanks a million

Same problem here... Missery..

Actually... i'm wondering if there is no possebility to create the 'map' option between the 'album', 'songs' etc options in VMC mymusic, BECAUSE the engine is based on Mediplayer 11, and there it is an option where you simply can choose map view...

Re: Musical Folders V6.1 for Vista Ultimate

Cheers for the update dude!

i think you mean v6.2 not 6.3 right?

i installed v6.2 just now and i got further than ever before. It seems it was some authentication issue most of us were having (go figure). Anyways, the new instructions are awesome, really helpfull and everything.

Now i am having one more problem that hopefully someone can help me with. When i open "Musical Folders" under "Program Library" (it's the only place i can find it in), i get an error saying "NOT DESIGNED FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - This Web site may not be designed for viewing from a distance or for remote control interaction. Do you want to view it in Windows Media Centre anyway or create a desktop shortcut to view it later?"

I have tried all the options. As you can see in the background in that photo there are options but I can't access them at all.

SO CLOSE!

any ideas?

Re: Musical Folders V6.1 for Vista Ultimate

Hi Serbsaint

I made a typo the last version is 6.2

You can find Musical Folders in MCE under Online Media - Program library

There you can do some settings

Did you follow the instructions from Daniel regarding IIS and setting up an account?

I use a Dutch Vista Ultimate

You only had to setup the folder to look at under MCE - Music - Music Library

The rest was done automatic

Its a great program that makes it possible to keep your music in your folder structure and not becomes a mess

Re: Musical Folders V6.1 for Vista Ultimate

Cheers for the info Rene,

Yeah, followed the instructions exact.

It seems there is an issue with security or something. I tried adding localhost to trusted sites but still no luck

The best way to explain the problem is that it is being blocked and not displaying correctly.

If anyone has any ideas can you please drop me a line..

I attached a screenshot in my last post.

Cheers!
