For those considering building a MCE computer like myself, I thought I'd point out that the 790GX chipset controlled motherboards maybe surfacing at the end of the month.
indeed does look interesting. Looks like they are claiming HDMI 1.3 support, time will tell if that includes 7.1 LPCM and bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA.

Agree, this is a very interesting motherboard for HTPC. If only they publish release dates.

The guys here are talking about the 790GX boards and that's the updated 780G board I mentioned earlier as having been on sale since last month in the US and is due here at the end of the month.
Hi
This was a interesting reading about the MA790GP-DS4H . I have now purchased one but I have trouble to get this up and running. as a MCE-machine
Problem:
Video error
Files needed to display video are not installed or not working correctly. Please restart windows....
When I start a sample video in MCE or a Live TV session.
I can see TV with my native software for the floppyDTV card but not in mce ??
My install are as follow
1. Install a fresh copy of Vista 32 bit
2. Install system files for motherboard (AMD 7 series Utility DVD)
3. Install IR
4. Do a Windows Update > (Ghost copy)
5. Install VNC Prof
6. Install PowerDVD 8 (includes MPEG2 codec)
7. Install K-Lite Codec Pack Standard 4.1.7
8. Install the TV pack 2008
9. Install the hot fix for the TV pack , e.g. Kb951685 , kb950754
10. Install the floppyDTV drivers and software and select TV pack
11. Do a Windows Update, again
Maybe some one of your clever pc user will help me out with this.
