P5e V Hdmi and Lg Tv

ok built my self a system so i could have a pc and media box at my gfs. installed all hardware fine and then installed vista home prem 32bit @ my house using a samsung 32" lcd no problems. sound\video worked fine using hdmi, great so now i take it to my gfs house and plug it all into the lg tv. comes up with video though no sound. plug headphones into jacks and the headphones work fine.

i have reinstalled windows using the lg tv have all the latest chipset audios drivers etc and still no sound using hdmi on the lg tv. taken system home again and works on my samsung

any one had this problem and what did they do to fix it??

You may need to check in the control panel -> Sounds to make sure that after connecting it to the LG that its still outputting sound via HDMI.

also try a different hdmi input on the LG. Fixed a problem I had. There is something funny with one of the LG hdmi ports...

i have tried both ports, i have also plugged in my xbox360 and ps3 into both ports and both play audio/video fine

i have also turned off the simplelink feature also and re enabled on the tv and still no audio.

and again like stated i take it home and plug into my samsung and works fine nothing has to be changed(detects its using digital, like with lg), and thats with a fresh install formatted with latest drivers and bios
