Athlon XP2700 vs 754 Sempron 2800
In an effort to reduce the noise from my XP2700 CPUed MCE, without the cost of upgrading to Core2Duo, I'm considering swapping hardware over with another PC in the house.
Problem is the other PC is only a Socket 754 Sempron 2800 running at 1.6Ghz.
Will MCE suffer too much dropping from the 2.1Ghz Athlon currently used?
The video card however will go from a GF6200 to a GF8500GT if I do the swap. Will this compensate in anyway for the drop in CPU speed ?
