M2NPV-VM, DVI-D to HDMI for HD Plasma

i have a HTPC system with the M2NPV-VM mother board and i am looking at upgrading my old CRT TV to the NEW PANASONIC 70a Plasma, and i was thinking i would use a DVI-D to HDMI Cable. rather than the TV out module. Has anybody done this or have any comments with regards to problems i might face.

Any help or comments would be great.

Regards
Crash

Re: M2NPV-VM, DVI-D to HDMI for HD Plasma

I run mine to a DVI monitor normally & it's fine. I also connect to my 32 inch LCD via DVI or via HDMI & it's fine (DVI is at native res).

There is someone having a problem with the board & a Sony Bravia 46 X series, but most seem to do OK.

Just make sure you can do native res (1366x768) through one of the HDMI inputs on the Panasonic. EDIT: THE NATIVE RES FOR 42 INCH IS 1024X768 - ARE YOU LOOKING AT THE 50 INCH?

If you have any issues with it being under powered, you can always throw in a more powerful video card.

OK,

Well the board does your native res, so you should be fine.
