Re: Overclocking P4 & GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3

overclocking a P4 using air only??? surely you jest !!! The whole netburst family are notorious for being the hottest CPUs ever made. Ambitious Intel engineers wanted to cram them with such 'potential' (back when they were bragging of getting to 10Ghz!) that thermal management began to suffer in the light of all the power being churned. A P4 on watercooling etc can kick some ass despite its vintage...but a OCd P4 on air.... please dont.....pleeease! Intel has since seen the light and ceased naming theor cpus based on their clockspeed... the ''megahertz myth'' (a term coined by Apple and also bandied about by AMD) has truly been busted. Fortunately for Intel, their C2Ds have been a runaway success, after undoing their original oversights(ie. they reduced pipelines....basically took a leaf out of what they were doing for mobile processors)

Erhan - if Ive assumed correctly - you will also understand this :
Lutfen yapma!!
