Re: MSI TV @nywhere A/D

Strange it is, my system is almost identical to your low spec machine
P4 3G 478 skt
Asus P4P800-E Deluxe Mb on board sound s/pid co ax used for output to 5.1 amp
Geforce 6600 GT video
1G DDR 400 RAM
120G Hdd
I did a search and came across one other MSI tv card which had exact same problem but had no feedback for a fix.
My TV arial is a bit unconventional as I am on the fringe of Sydney a river settlement on the Hawkesbury River called Little Wobby (did you see The Oyster Farmer) and the arial is 120 meters above me on top of a sandstone ridge and the signal from SBS is in the low level whereas the other stations are in the high range.

Re: MSI TV @nywhere A/D

Percul8tor just saw your post I output TV signal to CRT through DVI adapter to VGA and run my 106cm LCD through VGA at 1024/768 in clone and get a great picture shame about no sound on HD can push output to 1600/1050 but CRT can't handel it , don't give up on it.

Re: MSI TV @nywhere A/D

Thanks kerval,

You might have something. I was wondering if it was the DVI to HDMI that may be causing the problem. I might go back and try with component andsee if that improves things.

Sorry but can't give a thanks in this part of the forum?? No icon.

Incidentally, how is your sound. I have never been able to get good sound on my Asus motherboards. I get constant stutters. I add a Creative card and all fixed.

Edit: Kerval, happy to lend you my Creative sound card for a few days to see if that resloves your sound problem. Just ned to sort out logistics. Do you come to Sydney?

Re: MSI TV @nywhere A/D

so just to check, the listed problems are due to your low end specs not the TV card ??

I was thinking about recommending one of these in an amd 3800 based rig with 2gb RAM and vista ?? output vga to lcdtv @ 1366x768

Re: MSI TV @nywhere A/D

Hi all

I have not got MCE 2005 to diplay the analogue part of this card? I know the box declares that it is MCE compatible using digital but is there away to get MCE to recognised the analogue aswell.

I installed in on Vista but it to did not recognise the analogue signal? The program supplied works perfectly?

Any Ideas

Re: MSI TV @nywhere A/D

I use MCE not Vista and had no probs selecting Analogue in setup and viewing analoge.

Another question: Any of you guys tried FM radio. I have the "Radio" icon (so MCE knows it has a tuner) but when I select it and get to the radio page, I can't scan or tune. When I set the frequency I still don't get radio. I even changed sound from SPDIF to headphones anologue stereo.

Put the supplied antennas into each card.

Any ideas????
