Server Upgrade Scheduled For Sat 20th / Sun 21st March - Site To Be Closed
For what it's worth, at least for me, creating a new custom strip in Windows 7 (using v. 0.2.5) does not work, as after saving, 7MC comes up all black. I tried it on W7 32-bit.
So, I hope it is not terribly difficult and Advent can tweak this for Windows 7 soon.
Another vote for Windows 7 compatibility. Honestly, 7MC is a really, really solid improvement. Some might say it's just a little upgrade, but it really works so much better.
Here is another vote for Window 7 compatibility (64-bit:-)
Love, love this utility!
Any way we can donate without the app? (can't run it now:-(
To be honest, I hadn't planned on supporting a beta OS so soon, especially as I am quite busy at the moment with real life and other Media Center projects. Looks like the demand is there, though, so i'll try to look at it in the near(ish - like I said, real life) future.
You can donate any time using this link. (Note: donations are the best indication of demand possible )

yes, just a FYI to those voting on W7, though Im not a coder by any means, even I can see the xml listings in the ehres.dll are quite different to the way theyre organised in vmc.
Advent will essentially be doing a heart and lung transplant on his applet to get it W7 happy. So apart from your donations to show your support for his work to date, please be patient
... as extenders work off the same files as the console. I also don't have an extender to test with (haven't received nearly enough donations for that!), so i'm afraid I can't even really look into it at this stage.
I was hoping to find a way to create different menus for my various extenders. There are a few plug-ins I would like to limit to 1 or 2 extenders and prevent from being displayed on my main HTPC. Based on your comment above, it doesn't sound like this is possible. Can you confirm?

99.9% sure it will be the same on all extenders & the VMC.
There are extender specific buttons that don't appear on the VMC (e.g. the close button in the tasks menu - the VMC gets the shutdown button instead), so maybe there is some sort of tagging along those lines that can be done? Wouldn't allow you to differentiate between extenders, but it could allow you to have something on the extenders & not the VMC.
