New util: MC Menu Mender

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't thank you enough. I have prayed for the day when an application that does this comes out, and I can't believe it hasn't received a LOT more attention!
I have one small problem, which may well be a result of me being dense, but here we go.
I've deselected a lot of menu options, renamed a couple, and moved the Videos from Pictures/videos to TV (AT LAST!). However, now when I start VMC, it now defaults to MyMovies, rather than Recorded TV. Can anyone help me to fix this?
(By, the way, did I say THANKS?!)
UPDATE:
Ignore this post - I've read through the many threads and found out how this works.
Advent - I want to have your babies! You've made my month with this app. Things are tight this month, but when payday comes around I'm hitting that Donate button because it's absolutely worth it, this is the killer app for VMC.
BTW. You could really do with two things to hit the big time:
a) A decent website showcasing the app (and one that gets well indexed in google so people find out it exists!), and also so you can host a latest version rather than having lots of free hosting floating around; and
b) A decent writeup for how this all works.
In my case i installed a older version. That one didnt work so i uninstalled it. Later you uploaded a newer version so i installed that one.
In the attachment is my log file, is it save to share?
Looks like you've got some strange data in your registry that is causing Menu Mender to have a bit of a fit. I'll make it more forgiving of bad data for the next version, which will hopefully fix your problem.

Cheers,

Glad you like it, Dan - it's always nice when someone appreciates your work
As for the website and hosting - yes, i'm fully aware that I should do that. Up until now Menu Mender has been quite experimental and had quite a few bugs, so I was happy for a limited amount of people to use it and help me iron them out (thanks for that by the way, everyone). It's getting stable now, so hopefully i'll get around to the website etc soon.
P.S. I'm not thinking of having children just yet, but thanks for the offer. I'll keep you in mind.

After a little rearranging, and a boot, my VMC now starts with the Pictures Gallery. Is there a way of making it default to Recorded TV? Also, is there a particular relevance to the fact that there is a faded arrow pointing to the Videos folder?!
What I also meant to say was, if you ever want help either writing, editing or proofing a user guide/faq, lmk.
You say i have strange data in my register, is there something wrong with my pc? Should i do something about it and what?
No, don't worry about it.

You've probably set the default strip to the Pictures & Video strip. Note that you can set the default strip as well as the default item within each strip. To set the default strip just click on the title of the strip you want in Menu Mender.
The arrow pointing to the video library item is telling you that you've moved the item from the Pictures & Videos strip (that's where the arrow starts) to where it is now. This is important because if you don't have TV pack 2008 then you can only move items to strips that are below their original strips. Being able to see the original strip for each item helps you see what is going on.

The faded arrow is just to show you the path you used to get your tile where it is now. Earlier there were problems with people not remembering where they had moved a particular tile from (me included ). With not being able to move tiles certain ways (up rows), this helps out.
To get Recorded TV to be your launching point, you should just be able to click on that tile and it will have a slight halo glow around it. That should set it (from memory), but may be someone else could confirm that???

Hello - I have a very basic question...I'm wondering once you've created an entry point in Menu Mender - say for "mspaint" or something boring like that - how you get it to appear in the "Programs" area. I'd rather not always drag things on to a strip.
Even though I've added it as an entry point, it doesn't appear in the "edit program library" menu (maybe it shouldn't!)
Also - not as important - but when I look in the "edit program library" screen I see a lot of junk (direct tv stuff, etc.) that doesn't actually appear in my program menu even though its checked. None of it looks important, but I was still curious...
What an awesome piece of work - thank you so much.
