Hi All

I have tried to use the MC Menu Customiser but when it runs it is really slow and
when loaded it shows me the apps section and the 2 main catagories on the right..

Im not susr what it should do but if i click something the program just hangs for a few
minutes and does nothing. I select or make any changes etc..

What i would like to do is reorganise a couple of things and add another front strip
like My games ..

I just cant see all the current menus and the ones shown i can do anything..


Am i missing something ..

Any help is appreciated..

I love the app, works really well although mymovies isnt present when im in the program, is this because its not mcml? or jst a big? is there anyway i can fix this? because its really annoying i want tv library and my movies on the same strip

ryan93, i'm not sure why mymovies wouldn't be showing up - i'll have to install it when I get home tonight and have a look. I'll let you know.

Snoopy07, i'm not sure why it would be running slow either - it doesn't really do all that much Just to be sure - you have tried to drag items from the apps section onto the plus signs up the top, right?

galapagos0, i'm afraid I clean forgot about making that fix on Friday, sorry! If it's any consolation, I had a pretty good weekend I'll try to remember tonight

It turns out that MyMovies is using an undocumented (as far as i've seen) method of registering entry points, which is why I wasn't picking them up. I've changed it so that apps registered in this way will be picked up now.

I've also added the fix so that entry points with bogus images won't cause crashes (galapogos0).

I can't edit the original post any more, so i'm uploading the new version to this post until I find something better.

Thanks fro replying to my post, i downloaded the latest version and started it up and it was there, awsome! however when i added it to a strip and started up VMC it wasnt there.
so im not sure wots going on it is in the desktop program but not in vmc when added to a strip

I hope you are up for a new thing...?
Is it possible to make a program that adds a new link to the more program menu in mce...

For instance
I could add veohtv to the menu by simply showed the app the link to the .exe to the program..
or I could add a weblink to for instance http://tv.sputnik.dk/forside.html

Hi jr_kng - yes, I have considered adding this but it is purely a matter of time. I've been pretty busy lately and i'm going on holidays for a week next week, so it will probably be a while before I can find the time to add the features you're talking about. I'll post here if/when I find the time

Maybe you could help me with this....
I could create a little application like this

Start Notepad and create the following "mcl" file:

<application
ulr = "http://tv.sputnik.dk/forside.html"
name = "Sputnik"
</application>
Save the file as:

C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\S tart Menu\Programs\Accessories\Media Center\sputnik.mcl

This creates an application that opens the link
http://tv.sputnik.dk/forside.html inside media center "it work"

There are to problems thou
1.) The application Is not showing inside “more programs” is mce

I tried something els
I have saved a link to veohtv.exe at the same location C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\S tart Menu\Programs\Accessories\Media Center\
And it work and is showing i "more programs"
But way can it se one link but not another
chould i registre i some where????

2.) I can’t get I to start iexplore in full screen, minor problem, I could solve this by letting iexplore always start I full screen.
