Thanks - I can't see anything wrong with that, unfortunately. Can you create a support package when VMC is working as well, so that I have something to compare it to?

But here it is:
Are you sure you created this support package when VMC was crashing? As far as I can tell Menu Mender hasn't touched the ehres.dll here.
First I changed the Menu and saved, checked MCE crashing and created the support package (bad ehres Guid)
Then restored the old ehres and cerated the support package
(good ehres)
BTW
The Menu shown in MC Menu Mender does in no way reflect, what MCE shows.
Were can I select all the plugins, that are installed, but don't show up in Menu Mender?
I just can't get this app to work. I've gone through page after page of this thread and can't seem to see a solution.....
When I open the app from the zip folder, I see the GUI but as soon as I click on something and try to move it, it blacks out and the screen freezes ie. I am unable to do anything within the GUI even though the mouse moves.
Is anyone actually having similar issues?
...and another issue.....I somehow accidently added 'Hearts' to the TV strip and can't work out how to get rid of it. When I am actually able to use the GUI, there's the big green + below TV but how do I remove something from that strip?

Is there a way to specify the default menu item that comes up as highlighted when I hit the "Green Button" on the remote?
I'm not sure what happened or even when it happened, but when I hit the "Green Button" it always goes to the Media Center menu and Pictures is highlighted.
I'd like it to always go to "Recorded TV".. How can I change this?

Something similar happened to me when I shuffled around the order of the items in TV/Movies. I reset it back to default (green arrow) and this fixed it. I then made the more important changes again, avoiding changing the position of Recorded TV, and regularly checking to see if the default had changed in Media Center.

It sounds like you're still using the deprecated MC Menu Customiser. Please try using MC Menu Mender instead.

In Menu Mender, you can see which strip is the default as the background behind the default strip is highlighted. Similarly, the default icon within a strip is highlighted (it has a glow effect).
To set which strip you want to be the default, just click on the title for that strip. To set which icon you want to be the default within a strip, just click on the icon.
To the other guys that uploaded their support packages: I haven't forgotten, but I have been too busy to work on this over the past week or two - sorry!
