Fatastic version m8, thats done the trick with my errors and made playing with myTV and MM easy. I also couldnt start the last two versions without the same error and its gone now. Your da man.
thx for all ur classy and quick work on this excellent app
I think this is the same problem I had. It seems there are user specific keys created and Menu Mender might only look at the ones under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
I fixed the problem by deleting a key under:
HKEY_USERS\S-...\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Medi a Center\Extensibility\Categories\Services
The exact one depends on which menu area the tile was originally located. I am a complete nub when it comes to the registry so be careful taking my advice
I think I'll wait to hear what Advent has to say about this hack before I try it. Thanks for your input!!!
It still doesnt play with Quiiq Movies very well. It hogs the Tv+Movie strip. The only way ive found to get rid of it is to overwrite it with MM position reset but if i reset again to put MM back on a strip Quiiq comes back. Still everything else ive found runs sweet

The HKEY_USERS\S-... key is the same as the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key (at least, the HKY_CURRENT_USER key always points to the relevant key under HKEY_USERS - there is one subkey for each user). Menu Mender should detect addins installed under this key now (it didn't when samw97 had his problem). I would be interested in seeing an export of the following registry keys, if you can be bothered: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Media Center HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Media Center

cheers
What happens when you delete the Quiiq link instead of overwriting it?
If i delete Quiiq from tv+movie strip in mender it still appears there in vmc also if i put another plugin there to replace it in mender it appears in mender like it worked but Quiiqs still there in vmc. We tried putting myTV on the tv+movie strip with Quiiq aswell but still it appears in mender as if the two plugins are there but in vmc Quiiq is still the only plug that stays in vmc on that strip. I hope this helps. If you need any other info let me know.
I cant, i keep trying to put myTV in the tv+movies strip but it will not take whilst quiiq is installed.
Mender displays it as being right but upon entering vmc its all wrong with quiiq in the spot that i want myTV in.
I installed the latest version, but whenever I'm going to save, a error message appears.
