Hmmm, perhaps I'll use the opportunity for getting an actual life

But it's all a mistake on NBC's part apparently

Who has the right to do what to something should always reflect on who has ownership of that something, in this case the networks own the show and it is there right as owner to allow or disallow what you do with their content .... its that simple.

MS are just enabling a technology that allows a network to excercise their rights of ownership.

Is there anyway we can block Gladiators on MCEs in Australia, depite my kids love of it? (purely in the interests of good taste)

Agreed - have you tried the off button on the TV set? Usually works for me (except in the case of the Dog Whisperer - somehow the TV seems to turn itself on again for that show)

yeah, totally neglected territory since MCE - but I seem to recall it had certain plusses - like the days seemed to be more productive - go figure

well yes of course. I am curious on the other hand whether shows like Gladiators need protection. Seems to me if you have the mental capacity to run a media centre and are watching shows like this, then you're just getting the tough love you need

I have noted additional "copyrighted material" flags on recordings since the cumulative update - could just be coincidence, but it's things that have never had that message before.
