Many of you may of read my news post about the new IceTV Video on demand service well here is some new information about IceTV’s new service called IceTV Link, It is a new service that enables online video from third party websites to be sent directly to an IceTV subscribers media center or Internet enabled PVR at home to watch at a later time. In the Press letter I received today it says “Say goodbye to viewing small postage stamp sized content on a computer screen” but does not say if or how the service will be enlarged without being grainy or distorted IceTV Link will launch with our rst partner, Si-Mi.com, a digital distribution website for lms, music and games.
Si-Mi.com will give IceTV customers access to a wide variety of content not typically found on free-to-air TV. IceTV Link is currently in private beta for Windows Media Center PCs and Macs running Elgatoís EyeTV software, with a full public release scheduled in the coming months. Support for some internet enabled PVRs, like the Beyonwiz DP-S1, will follow.
