A new release of "My Movies" is out, version 1.31. It is called 1.31 because a 1.3 were released yesterday to newsletter suscribers only for removing the worst bugs. This has been done now, and the release is ready for the public.
This is by far the most comprehensive release since the initial release of "My Movies" in october last year. It is properly also going to be the last release with new features before the release of the next MCE version - there may be bugfix releases though (I know there will be atleast one, when translation of new stuff for some languages hits my mailbox).
In the meantime, I will work on a new version, a new website, and on a document to open up the source code for other developers, that can live with the terms in it.
Besides bug fixes since version 1.23, this is the stuff added to the 1.3x release:
- Changed the "Edit collection" program to import both data and cover in one go, so no more double searches. Because of this the "Import cover" button is no longer there either.
- Added an import from folder option to automatically add movies titles based on folder contents. It will do a "best match" on the data loading site.
- Added support for multiple genres, which can be imported from the data grabbers, imported from DVD Profiler, or manually entered by seperating with | character (Genre1|Genre2|Genre3).
- Added tripletab functionality on lists, so that you as on the rest of Media Center can use the remove to jump in the lists by typing letters.
- Changed the navigation, so that previous focus items are saved, which means that when you navigate from one block and back, you won't go to the first item of the block, but the to the item you were on when you left the block.
- Improved the position of movies on screen, so that it displays more correctly on special resolutions.
- Added the option to configure the third button, which previously has been fixed to "Genre".
- Made a toggle between cover and list views, so that you get the cover view as normal when clicking a button, but gets a list view when you click the same view button twice.
- A lot of minor changes to the "Edit collection" program, including checking for updates, go to forum, about box, and other things.
