Code 33 Error and Anti Virus Prgrams

Hi all

I have recently re-installed Windows MCE, including all updates.
I am running BladeRunner Pro 3.5 and OzTivoExtreme.

What I noticed is that everything works well (BR created the guide data after OzTivo grabs the data and then MCE imports it) as long as I do not install an Anti Virus Program.
I have tried the free ones - Avast! and AntiVir, and if I install either and then try to update the MCE with the latest guide data (by selecting "Get Latest Guide Listing") I get the Code 33 error.

Has anyoe got the same problem? Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Thanks.

Claus.

Re: Code 33 Error and Anti Virus Prgrams

yes i was having trouble with my ESET firewall (new version of nod32), i had the firewall in interactive mode and had allowed all the MCE executable files to have access to all ports, but it wasn't working, switching to automatic mode fixed everything.

now i can update my guide, or rather it updates automatically

try some of the suggestions in here.
