Question Viewing/Using old EPG data in MCE

Hey guys, got a quick question (apologies if this has been asked/answered before - I tried a fair bit of searching and all I found was an old thread from 2005 that didn't answer this question)

Is it possible, when viewing the guide in MCE, to scroll back to previous days in order to preset missed shows to record the following week? I find myself watching a show sometimes and I think "hey, I might set that to record next week" but the EPG data doesn't extend that far into the future yet. I would have to try and remember to check the guide again in a few days time and set it to record (but I never do )

This might just be a limitation in MCE but hopefully somebody out there has devised an ingenious method of accessing the EPG from previous days

Thanks in advance everyone...

Hey Tericion!

Where are you getting your guide information at the moment? ozTiVo.net with BladeRunner Pro?

Thanks,

Yeah, I've been using ozTivo & BRP for a while now, never had any problems with downloading up to date guides. I've got BRP & MCE set to download a new guide every night, could that be adding to the problem? Does it delete old data when it downloads new listings?

Hi Tericion!

Downloading daily may play a part, especially if you wanted to record a programme from yesterday. Have you tried setting your Media Center machine's clock back in time and then looking at the guide?

Aside from that you can try our Free*EPG guide listing which always has at least 7 days in advance, so if you missed your show you can always skip ahead 7 days in your guide to find it again!

Thanks,
