I just bought a subscription to a site which offer you can download the
TV listings in directly XMTV-format.
But what program shall i use to grab/download this ?
Each user got an unique adress to download their xmltv service, so i cant write it here,
coz it can only be done grabbed/downloaded 1 time each day.
But again what program shall i use, and later on I guess BRP can read the xmltv file ??
Hmm yes they're talking about a software called BTVXMLTVSetup5.4.exe but this is for the mediacenter BeyondTV.
So thats the reason I was looking for something simplier.....
Actually I have have found something named XMLTV but I can't fugure out, how it works.
I something about running a dos prompt or something like that...
Its a danish site called ontv.dk which can provide me with all the scandinavian needed channels. Unfortunately they have locked the service to only be downloaded once a day, to prevent people to abuse the service.
But I have here uploaded one of the old files, and it will acutally be the like if it was a file directly from them.
Because when you has your subscription to their XMLTV service, you get an unique URL, where you can download your xml-fil each day.
I use an xmltv file for GBPVR (also tried Media Portal).
The problem would be that the data will not match the channels here in Australia. I can look at it anyway.
For MCE there is Bladerunner that can be used to make the xmltv data palatable to MCE. However as you mentioned channelinfo I assume you have tried that.
I've made them them work fine in Mediaportal, but I dont know whats going wrong in MCE2005... I even tried making ChannelInfo manuel.
Can there be something wrong with the xml ??
There are 36 different channels in the xml-file, and the last three are grabbed from another place, but in same grabber.
I hope you can test it for me...
BTW. I cant get the auto create ChannelInfo work...
In the ID field, it's just typing the name, instead of the ID.
If the xmltv file works with Media Portal then you need to get a valid channelinfo for it to work with bladerunner.
I don't have time to play with it right now (my daughter is in hospital and we'll be visting her soon) but it looks okay and Internet Explorer was also happy with it.
Perhaps someone who is using bladerunner has some ideas on how to create a valid channelinfo?
