Question Guide setup through proxy

Hi,
I was wondering if there is anyway to setup the guide in vista mce through an authenticated proxy.
I have used the oztivo script to download the tvguide.xml and configured brp to use it...
the only problem is that mce won't allow me to setup the guide.

Any ideas?

Carlo

Carlo,

I do not understand what you want to do. Do you live in OZ?

Re: Guide setup through proxy

I live in Perth,
I am currently using a network, which to access any info on the web you have to login to the proxy/firewall....
in I.E. this is fine because you get a dialog box to enter your username and password
if you don't login you can't get through the firewall.
So I need to figure out how I can setup the MCE guide through through the proxy....
I can set up netsh to look at the I.E. proxy settings... but no authentication is possible...
this is what you are supposed to see.... http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/brp/images/mce-6.gif
but all I get is an error.....
and I hope the xpmcc guys don't mind me linking their photo from the bladerunner pro setup....

Unhappy Re: Guide setup through proxy

I decided to install CCProxy as a cascading proxy to eliminate the need for logging in......
but I now get a
Unknown discovery service error. Code: 14
I've had a look around..... and they all say the date is the problem....
but my date and time are just fine and I can access https just fine
so still no clue
