How to set up MCE2005 to find EPG data?

Ok, I have been searching and can't find a succinct answer to my question.
I have Bladerunner Pro 3.5 and xmlTVNZ loaded, bladerunner does it's download and then the screen disappears, so I assume it's working right, but can't work out how to get MCE to utilise the data from it. I have set the region to Australia, and post code to 0000, but it keeps trying to connect to the net to find listings (which it can't find). How do I tell it to use the file generated by bladerunner?
I've seen other posts on setting this up and it just seems to work, but mine doesn't. And I've spent 3 hours searching and can't find anything that has helped.
Thanks in advance
Dan
