Code 14 Error

Just wondering if anyone can help shed some light on code 14 internet connection problem when trying to download guide data with brp3.5/oztivo extreme. have checked on advice from other posts e.g server enabled and admin$ included in share list but this doesn't resolve the error.
XP MCE05 has no problem accessing the internet. I have tried the url file//"computername"etc ehome etc native etc but it can't find the file despite admin$ being on the share list. suspect this is a sign. can anyone reccommend a new setup for getting guide data perhaps? cheers

Re: Code 14 Error

Hi Crikey
I am having the exact same problem, haven't worked it out yet either. My internet has been throttled until Thursday and i am wondering if that is causing the problem. Have tried everything i can think of, turned off firewall, etc. Check internet and network settings, installed/uninstalled Bladerunner of various versions several times, etc, etc...
I'm about ready to give up on EPG, its taking up way to much time to be bothered, would be good if someone could design software that the average joe could work with instead having to take classes in astrophysics to understand the workings of the program...

I will post again if i do find an answer, please let me know if you have any success

Re: Code 14 Error

Just to let you know am having the same problem, all of a sudden code 33 and 14 started appearing(apparently you don't get one with out the other) Have used Acronis True image to set my computer back to when it was working fine but to no avail.
I've searched the net high and low,(tried loads of fixes, admin$ fix, reinstalling bladerunner, changing firewall settings, changing batch file etc) have come across lots of people with same problem but no fix. ****ED OFF!! (I'm a Kiwi, we're not known for our patience). I have heard a rumour this is a Bladerunner issue but have yet to find the solution. Will let you know if I figure it out, been a month now so getting less enthusiastic by the day!!

Re: Code 14 Error

Guys I had the same problem so I uninstalled BladeRunner and tried EpgStream which has been working ever since using the following procedure:
http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/comm...ide-vista.html

Note: If you are using Vista, it is only compatible with BladeRunner V3 and not V3.5 ref: http://www.tvxb.com/doc/Vista-Blader...structions.htm
