Bladerunner3.5 + oztivo problem

Hi guys,

My scheduled guide data download last night worked as usual but then when looking at the tv guide thismorning there isn't any data.

I first checked to see if there was any guide data on http://www.tvguide.org.au/
and its all filled.

All channells have there listings assigned.

Tired to manually d/l, Bladerunner is working fine, it seems to d/l somthing, but still nothing when clicking on guide through mce.

Any knowen problems with http://www.tvguide.org.au/......

Any one else having any problems?

Cheers

Mark

Re: Bladerunner3.5 + oztivo problem

Hi

I am experiencing the same issue.

The guide update fails when triggering MCE saying there was an error downloading the guide.

The rest of the BRP and OZTivo process seems to be fine ...

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

M

Revolution,

This is a known problem with MCE. Basically you need to stop and restart the MCE services using the guide after downloading including ehome (MCE GUI). Try searching this site for "Recycle MCE", its a batch file that will recycle your services. The scropt was originally written by Peter Rosser but has been modified by people since. The guts of it are in this post for other reasons.

Mark,

Have you tried restarting all MCE services (or a reboot) to see if you get the guide? If so then you may have been bitten by the same intermittent memory issue that I was referrign to above. Before I discovered this issue I'd get the guide to work for ages, then one day, no guide, no scheduled recordings.

I'm having the same problem as Twodogs -
Missing xmltv.xml file missimg from/windows/ehome/BladerunnerPro/guidedata (similar - the cmd box disappears too quickly).

This has been working fine for months - is there an issue with the info being downloaded from OzTivo??

******Additional Info
******This is the error info
I haven't changed anything in my ChannelInfo.xml for months and it has been working fine.
This error has only been coming up since beginning of the month. I only noticed it when I started getting 'guide data low' messages from the Guide screen...
Seems to be something to do with null values in the info downloaded....
Any advice would be great...Tks

Re: Bladerunner3.5 + oztivo problem

Disregard - After process of elimination (took hours) the data from the OzTivo site for one of the more obscure channels on FOX was causing the corruption. Removed this channel from my lineup and problem now sorted...
