Error 33 / Error 14 : 2 Common Problems which causes this.
Just to share my 2 cents about the issue:
It seems that the Error 33 (Cant access server) and the Error 14 (Internet connection failure when setting up EPG within MCE) comes as a package.
I had the same problem. It turns out that there are 2 parts (I know of) which need to be in place:
1) Admin shares need to be enabled. Check MyComputer->Manage->System Tools->Shares. You _must_ have a ADMIN$ share in that list. If you don't, EPG import wont work, even if Bladerunner / OzTivoExtreme works fine. If you don't see that share, try to enable print and file shareing : Control Panel->Network Connections->Local Area Connection->Properties->File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks check and click on the Install... button.
There is this URL :
file://COMPUTERNAME/admin$/ehome/BladerunnerPro/Native/GetTVServicesMetaInfo.html
Replace COMPUTERNAME with the name of your computer.
If you open this in internet explorer you should see a bunch of 0000-0000 etc. If IE says something about 'unable to open file' you have the admin share problem.
I've also read about a Registry entry to check, but - at least in my case - the Registry entry DID NOT exist, even with shareing enabled. So be careful there. I would stop short of creating it manually.
2) The "Server" Service needs to be enabled and up and running.
Check: My Computer->Manage->Services and Applications->Services. Scroll down in the list until you see the "Server" entry. Status should be "Started", Statup Type "Automatic".
There is also some talk that firewalls come into your way. Although that might be true, I actually do have the Windows Firewall AND the McAffee Firewall enabled on my system (and then a hardware filewall in my router as well - lol), and none of them prevented me of having my EPG work correctly.
Fixing the admin shares did it for me. EPG works like a charm now again. Good luck.
