Extending end time for recording from Guide

I am finding that some stations in Melbourne run more than 4 minutes late. I have noticed that in MCE I can only set the system to automatically record for a maximum of 4 mintues after the scheduled end time. Can that restriction be changed to allow say 10 minutes, so I am guaranteed to get the end of the show!

And you didn't try the Search facility in this forum either did you?

Do a Series Record and extend the post padding for the series as much as you like.

malibu, when you select the show to record you can simply select "Advanced Record" which allows you to modify the post padding. If you are trying to record a program that is currently running I think you probably need to press the Info button to access that functionality.
Cheers,

Phil

Re: Extending end time for recording from Guide

Actually I didn't express my self properly. I want a permanent fix that makes all shows record 10 minutes more when I click on them in the guide.

I think I have found the solution RecordingSoftPostPadding in the registery. So I will try tonight.
Thanks for your help.

You might find it simpler to download TweakMCE from microsoft's download area. I believe it has an option to do that for you.

Read this KNOWLEDGEBASE.

The tweaks for softpadding changes don't stick.

Have you rebooted since you changed them?

Justin
