Getting two guide downloads per day - and not working

I've got a problem where my guide is not updating correctly at the moment, and I'm on the investigation path. I use BRP and OZTVio. Basic sequence of events;

a) Was working fine
b) No scheduling changes, etc - but have run a manual "Get Current Listing" when something didn't work one day a while back as a manual fix
c) Start to notice that the guide is no longer autoupdating properly
d) Find that if I run BRP manally (or force it in scheduled task to run now) and load the guide from settings, hey presto its there - wierd

In looking into this I seem to be getting two downloads per day, which is the first thing that's confusing me a bit. I get one when BRP is scheduled to run 5:08 ish. I get the second at 6:45PM, most likely a time when I've run it manually before.

Today I've decoded the dl times in the registry and get

"dlLastTime"=hex:b2,ee,9a,96,c6,3e,c7,01
01c73ec6969aeeb2
C:\Documents and Settings>w32tm /ntte 128140137054531250
148310 08:15:05.4531250 - 23/01/2007 6:45:05 PM (local time)

"dlRegTime"=hex(b):80,87,50,95,1e,3f,c7,01
01c73f1e95508780
C:\Documents and Settings>w32tm /ntte 128140514990000000
148310 18:44:59.0000000 - 24/01/2007 5:14:59 AM (local time)

My suspicion is that:
a) BRP is working correctly and running at 5:08 then via the -t option triggering a load of the guide.
b) The one off maunal load has set an ongoing autoload in play, ie the dlLastTime being 6:45:05PM being when that happens.
c) The dlRegTime is a "red herring" in that this is the next time out by my time zone CSST (+10.5) - just to make it harder!

If the above is true, then does anyone know how to stop the MCE guide load via dlRegTime? Can I just set it to zero as the 6:45PM thing appears to be stuffing me up.

Re: Getting two guide downloads per day - and not working

I've found that the "Settings | General | Automatic Downloads" was set to "Download when connected". I'm sure this should be manual (although not sure how it would have changed?), so I'll give that a try.
