I recently installed MCE 2005 on my computer, and have spent the last few days setting it up. It's all working great except for the EPG.
I live in Sweden and there doesn't seem to be any "official" EPG available. Quick fix I thought.
Turns out it's not. I can get the EPG data into Media Center just fine (using xmltv and BladeRunner Pro 3.5), atleast I *think* I can. The problem is that it doesn't get properly associated with the channels so I can't really tell if it's correct or not. But it does run without errors and Media Center says it's received the data ok.
I suspect the problem has to do with my channel naming, it seems my Cable provider doesn't encode the channel names properly. I get three or four duplicate names (different channels), and a whole bunch of Unknown (xxxxx KHz).
If I try to "Add Listings to Channel" on any channel I only get one option, "Show no listings for this channel".
I think this is somehow related to the ChannelInfo.xml, but I can't really figure it all out.
Also, if I view "About guide listings" it says both the start and end date is something like 0001-01-01 00:00
Any ideas?
I'm on analog cable using an ATI Radeon 9800 AIW by the way.
