2 BRP/OzTivo questions

I am using those for my EPG solution.
Every couple of days MCE says my guide has less than 3 days of info left.

1. When the option appears to get the latest guide info do I need to run BRP myself to update the guide or does MCE do that when I click OK ?
and,
2. Is there a way to make MCE just do the update and not bother asking as I'm never going to say no ?

Thanks

pros..
Very simple installation for free to air tv
Just set your region
All hd stations are already setup
No messing around at all
works great
If it does go down, Just leave it alone, It will be fixed in a day or so
It's only gone down once on me in 3 months
Good program info.

Cons..
It's only crashed once on me.

What else can I say, I love it

So I can only suggest you give it ago.
You will need to uninstall BRP and Oztivo before you run the program.
It's suported here: http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/comm...html#post78890 thanks to Dnut

Re: 2 BRP/OzTivo questions

I tried giving it a go but don't get any regions to pick from and there is a message stating "error connecting to config service".
I've seen this mentioned in the EPGrunner forum but no answers on how to fix it.

EDIT------ Seems trying to install it from a network drive was the cause. Getting regions now :-)

With the recent OzTivo changes, I did switch to EPGRunner for a while. I will agree that it is extremely simple to setup ("almost too easy"), however I have since switched back to OzTivo now that Monster has updated the grabber. My major complaint about EPGRunner is that frequently episode titles are merged with the program name, which makes series recordings impossible.

While this was a good stop-gap, all I can say is thank god for monster & OzTivo! I now have 6 days worth of good guide data and my series recordings are working as normal again!

My 2c...

Cheers,
~Dane.
