Relocating to Sydney from San Francisco

I've been a Media Center user since XP (now on Win 7) and also have an HP WHS server. I'm an American but my wife is Australian, and we're relocating to Sydney this Spring (fall down there). I'll be bringing my gear down of course, and will need to sort out what I need to change (such as swapping out my NTSC tuner cards for PAL versions). Also need to figure out what last minute bargains to grab here before setting sail. Main professional background is in tech, but have spent the past three years working for a nonprofit (mainly getting software to NGOs). Looking forward to joining your community, and especially having actual summers!
Swap the tuners, something like the Hauppauge HVR-2200 is very successful here. And double check your power supplies will either allow you to switch to 230V, or will do it automatically (they normally say "Full Range" if they accept 110-230V without a switch). If in doubt get new power supplies here before you plug them in.
As for bargains.... get whatever you need!! Maybe more hard drives? But they're not that much more here really. Big ticket items would be more of a saving.
Cheers

Autumn (fall) is the best time of the year weather wise in Sydney, so that's a bit of luck.
As the other guys said, you'll need to change to DVB-T tuners for FTA over the air. We don't have cablecard or anything like that here (it's a bit backward, but that's due to the relatively small population), so if you want cable, you need to use the box provided by the cable company (Foxtel).
Be prepared for expensive internet access (which you'll use a lot once you work out how frustrating out FTA TV stations are).
Power cords - don't bother bringing any IEC power cords with you - you can get them with our plugs here cheaply.
The good news is that you can get quite a lot of US sport on TV here, so that might help with home sickness.

Just to elaborate on this, that's not strictly true. It IS possible to have a CableCard like system here, it just takes a little more work.
