software guy tooling with hardware

Hi

I'm ignoring the advice of people that say that software people shouldn't muck around with hardware.

I've been wanting to put together a HTPC for a long time but didn't really think it was worth it with the CRT that we had. Thankfully (?) it recently died so I've been given the green light for a new plasma & htpc.

I'm looking forward to putting this together and I think it will be a great success (one aim is to end up with 1 remote control--ahhh.). I believe that with all the wealth of information and community on this site my only problem will be others wanting me to put a HTPC together for them

Hopefully in time I'll be able to return the favours.

Cheers
The coln.

Good luck buddy The world of HTPC has become incredibly easy now that VMC has taken over MCE 2005
