Thumbs up Time to Upgrade and Introduce

Hi All,

I have been lurking/registered for over a year now and I have decided it is time to speak up... and upgrade as all.

My current HTPC was more a quick fix than anything else, and not much of a HTPC. Basically my DVD/HDD Recorded stopped playing DVDs so I plugged in a spare PC I had lying around into my LCD TV (via vga) and then output the sound to my amp.

Current Set Up

Mobo - Asus A7n8x-x
CPU - Athlon XP 2600+
RAM - 512 DDR 400
Video - GeForce MX 440
80 Gig IDE Seagate HDD
DLink DWL-G510

I have just been using KMPlayer to play DVDs

Been looking into the new system heaps and only have decided on the following, any further advice would be appreciated.

CPU - AMD Athlon™64 X2 4850e
1 x Samsung 160g SATA for OS and Temp video capture/time shift
1 x Samsung 1TB SATA for Long team storage
2 GB Kingston single stick.
DNTV Live! Dual Hybrid PCI-E S3
DLink DWL-G510
Acer 32" at3201w LCD

Mobo - Unsure, thinking AMD/AMD setup 780G chipset micro ATX so looking at the Asus m3a78-em. Trying to stay away from GB. Any better options, would love to hear it. (ITX would be nice)
Case - Unsure, for now I will just be getting something cheap (WAF)
CD drive from current set up until I can upgrade to Blue ray.

The plan is to run the Acer (max 720p) until I can pick up a 720p projector which I will run via VGA and SPDIF to the amp, with the acer running on DVI and 2 channal audio out. They will be in different rooms (back to back against the wall). I know I will not be able to watch both at once.

Well that is the run down... feedback welcome.
