Angry World Rally Championship Name Change

If you have a series record set to record this year's World Rally Championship you will need to reset it. IceTV, in their infinite wisdom, have arbitarily changed the name in the guide.

I set the series record up a couple of weeks ago when the Rallye Monte Carlo kicked off the season and it was titled:

Motor Sport: FIA Wold Rally Championship 2008

Today round 2 from Sweden is being shown and it is titled:

Motor Sport: World Rally Championships 2008

Needless to say the series record didn't pick this up. Fortunately I happened to notice it by chance before it started. If you like your rally, then check your series record.

I ahve posted q thread over on the IceTV forums to complain about these arbitary name changes - http://www.icetv.com.au/iceforum/index.php?topic=962.0.

Re: World Rally Championship Name Change

Much as I hate replying to my own posts...

I have received a response on this from IceTV:

Quote:
Fair enough. Apologies. It will revert to :

Motor Sport: World Rally Championship

The episode will indicate the Round and location. Thanks for pointing this out. Cheers.
Looks like the year is being dropped from the titles from now on.

Perhaps the poll started by djos has been noticed.
