ABC Listings all mixed up

Hi,

I am in Canberra and am having big problems with my ABC listings. They appear to be mixed up with SBS listings. For example, right now it says "Greek News" but if you scan through the shows you can see "7:30 Report".

I have done the following:
Completely re-setup the guide from scratch, including deleting all my channels and re-scanning then adding the listings to channels

On advice from IceTV I:
Deleted all the content in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\eHome\EPG
and the re-setup the guide again as above.

Still no joy. I get exactly the same problem.

Any ideas anyone?

I am running XP Media Center Edition with up-to-date patches.

This seems to have occurred when I renewed my subscription.

Cheers,
Jeremy.

Re: ABC Listings all mixed up

Thankyou for posting this. I noticed this with my own system more than a week ago, except mine is Regional QLD and seems to regularly mix channel Nine into the ABC guide listings.

When I saw it for the second time I sent an email off to IceTV Support and was told that it was a corruption in my system. Like you resetting and downloading the guide didn't resolve it.

What I have noticed is that the guide comes good again once the "inserted" program in the ABC guide has passed and the guide updated. Updating before this doesn't resolve it.

I can't put it down to a renewed subscription though last year sometime I did extend my subscription for another 12 months when they had a good special on at the time. I'm not sure where I'm at but this may have ticked over in to my second 12 months, though I would find it odd if that could be the cause.

I have just noticed it again tonight and thought I'd have a quick look on the forum just in case I wasn't the only one experiencing this issue. I've been away from the forum here for a long while since my setup is operating fine. (More than two years solid use as the dedicated media "thingy" now.)

I initially accepted the response from IceTV but was starting to suspect that it wasn't at my end since resetting and updating the guide did nothing.

I'll send off a reply to IceTV and give them a link to this posting so they can see it's not just me.

I'll keep things posted here.

It might also be worth it if you were also to send an email to IceTV support. I took a screen shot for the last email and I've taken a couple more since as well which I think I'll attach to my next email tonight so they can see.

Re: ABC Listings all mixed up

Problem solved.

I remembered that when my subscription renewed I suddenly got huge gaps in my guide data for channel nine (WIN NSW). I was dicking around with my account settings in the IceTV site and found this setting to copy SD programs to the HD Channels, which I switched on.

I went back in this morning, switched this setting off and then downloaded the latest guide data and ABC was restored to normal. I will report this to IceTV today.

Re: ABC Listings all mixed up

Nope - Problem Not Solved - I just checked my IceTV account and I've never had this checked, so this can't be an issue with my ABC data.

I can also see that my subscription is paid through until April 2009 so it can't be related to any recent change over in subscription.

I see this afternoon that the ABC data has 1.5 hours of "unknown" and the 7.30 Report is starting at 9.30. Updating etc does not get rid of this "unkown" entry.

Re: ABC Listings all mixed up

Hi Daniel, One of my machines is also experiencing this problem. It only started when the HD listings were implemented. I have started to manually record until I have a couple of hours to run the uninstaller reg file, and then install Ice TV again.

Re: ABC Listings all mixed up

The official response from IceTV in full is as follows

We have found an issue with the QLD regional region to do with Imparja HD (which includes shows that are on Win) that explain the issue you are having with ABC, and this has been resolved. If you update the guide now it should be showing the correct information. Please let us know if you still see any issues.

I'm assuming that there still must be more to this as it still seems odd that issues on the ABC data could be affected by WIN or Imparja data. I guess time will tell if this has been fixed but it would appear that the guide is all good again this afternoon - well at least the 7.30 report is actually shown at 7.30.

Having had a couple of weeks of issues with the guide, I can't say I'm very impressed with the initial response which was for IceTV to simply say it must be a problem with my system.
