Newbie FTA questions

Ok, I guess I have been watching Foxtel (and downloaded media) for far too long...

Can someone tell me if the HD channel content is the same as the SD content by the same name these days? ie should I only be tuning in TEN HD, Nine HD etc and deleting the non-HD channels from my list? Or does the content differ? (I seem to remember one of the HD channels was playing looping videos of someone driving a car around Dubai a while back).

Also - what of these other freakin' weird channels are worth watching? Any?

And, why doesn't IceTV name the guides exactly the same as the name the channels broadcast? That seems odd too.

Zilch.

Hi There,

I'd keep a list of both SD / Digital and HD channels as the content differs. (Mostly late at night -> 11pm on wards for TEN HD. I find that both 7HD & TENHD also have some crappy re-runs or other odd programs during the daytime slots from 2pm - 5pm.
So you might find a movie or re-run that you'd like to watch that isn't on their "Standard" channel.

*Thanks* (No "Thanks" button in this forum)

Hmmm...that's mildly annoying. Flicking though multiple channels with (mostly) the same content makes things appear that they are set up incorrectly. But as you say, if you don't you could miss out on some stuff.

Yep. It's rather annoying! As I mentioned it's more of a night TV issue -> After 9pm(ish).
