IceTV DST kick-in problems 29Oct06

After two hours of frustration trying to pinpoint the reason why the Sydney guide was "lagging" by an hour, I finally telephoned IceTV's support line to get some assistance after the FAQs and forums didn't get me sorted.

Seems the problem is at their end. The person I spoke with apologised and confirmed that they are pulling the database apart trying to work out why today's guide is screwy. He also stated that tomorrow's "looks fine" and that it's "just today" that's gone belly-up.

Hope this heads-up saves someone else from spending a few hours trying to fix a problem that's not actually within their control. Oh - and if you have any programs scheduled for recording based on the IceTV feed, you might want to double-check them!

Cheers

Derek

Everything should be back up and running now for all regions that went through a daylight savings change this morning. If you update the guide then all will be good.

2.30pm Sunday Melb DST time and I still see a problem with ABC Melb from tomorrow onwards - this is contrary to the Post by ICE TV.

Everything else does look OK.

We found this one and any guide downloaded after 4PM EDT will be correct for Melbourne.

Re: IceTV DST kick-in problems 29Oct06

Thanks but ....

Monday 10 am I still see a difference between Seven and Seven HD. It looks as if Seven HD has not be adjusted for daylight saving.

Thanks Daniel,

I was pretty worried when I realised that the times were all out at 7pm last night as it was the final MotoGP and not to be missed.

Simply downloaded the latest guide and all was fixed so thankyou for your efforts and for allowing me to sleep soundly knowing that it would all record.

Cheers,

Tak

Still a problem as of last night - Enterprise was starting at 11:30 on 9HD Sydney, and 12:40 on 9 Digital...

At least it's proof you're not scraping ninemsn - it showed starting time as 12:20

Re: IceTV DST kick-in problems 29Oct06

I still had problems as of yesterday. I forced a manual update and it looks OK but I'll take a good look tonight if I get time.

This is not really good enough Dan. It's not like daylight savings is a new thing and from all reports this happens every time! My partner thanks you for screwing up the last series episode of Grey's anatomy last night! GAF took a serious dive!
