Nvidia - Can't connect to plasma display

i connect my nvidia 7950GT card to my Hitachi plasma display (its native resolution is 1024 x 1024) using DVI to HDMI.
In the manual it says

I can't seem to be able to connect, the display keeps on saying "invalid scan frequency"

Ive tried all those resolutions listen and it still dosn't want to display. And when it does display it, the refresh rate is at 30HZ or 25HZ and so you can see this this very fast blinking screen.

If anyone can help....like a EIA-861B custom timing?

The thing is that i want to build a htpc and if this is how its gonna look then i don't think its worth building it. Im going for an hdmi Intel GMA X4500 HD inbuilt graphics do you think ill be able to display it better? What about the ati ones?

Thank you ever so much for any help.

Re: Nvidia - Can't connect to plasma display

It may just be that your DVI output and DVI-HDMI converter are not playing nicely. See this article for differences in DVI connectors.

Normally you won't have any problems. But some video cards just don't work with certain adaptors.
