Vista Bravia HDMI blue screen every time

Hi,

I have the following set up:
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-73PVM-s2H
RAM - 2 gig Kingston
OS - Vista x86 (32 bit)
TV - Sony Bravia X series KDL46X2000
Connection - HDMI to HDMI

Every time I boot up my PC it blue screens. Cant read message clearly. It seems to go through the initial boot sequence without problem. Starts loading Vista and that is when it blue screens. Machine re-boots itself starts boot sequence and then it freezes. At this point it requires hard reboot at which point it starts to work. Has been going on for at least a month. Cannot work it out. I haven't tried different connection. Was hoping to get it working with HDMI cable. I have tried different resolutions. Happy to hear any suggestions.

Cheers
Carlos

Press F8 when system just starts. Choose Safe mode with Networking. Boot into it and examine logs.

Re: Vista Bravia HDMI blue screen every time

shouldn't this be moved to the vista software area?

OK - I'll move this post to Vista s/w section, but my gut feeling is that the TV is causing some sort of problem/conflict

You could test that theory by disconnecting the TV and connecting a monitor off the vga or dvi port. If it boot fine then it's a problem with the HDMI.
