browsing net/reading text - Plasma or LCD?

Please help --- i'm trying to choose the right Full HD bigscreen tv (46 or 50 inch) to go with my htpc.

I've had a look in store so have an idea what looks good for movies, sport, games, BUT
given that I'm not going to take a pc into the store to hook up to different LCDs and plasmas, i'm hoping you guys can relay your experience for browsing the web/being able to read text using your LCDs and Plasmas...

maybe there's no major difference, i just dont know....

budget to $3500.

any reviews/comments/suggestions would be most appreciated.

cheers

LCD will be your choice - IMO.
I have 46" XBR Sony Bravia, but my friend has 52" of the same TV.
Web browsing from 2.5-3 meters is good, may not fit your budget

Re: browsing net/reading text - Plasma or LCD?

Jeenyus,

I have a big Plasma and LCD. It will not make any difference which screen you choose for net surfing. You will get fed up with surfing via your tv very quickly. To see the text very clearly (my eyes are a bit tiring) I use CTRL & + in my webbrowser . This means that often you will have to use scroll as well to be able to read a whole page. I love my 28" monitor though.
