VINYL RECORDS TO PC to HTPC. (& to CD label playlists)

Greetings

(1) I am in the process of using a product called WaveRepair to copy vinyl record albums (ie; LPs) to my PC, for eventual use in my HTPC.

Part of this process is to name each song's PC file, so that eventually I can identify and select the album and songs in the HTPC.

What would be the application that I would use in Vista to do this. Does it work like and/or look like ITunes?

(2) Also, I have processed some LPs belonging to a friend, for burning to CD's. I also want to print a playlist of the CD's tracks onto the CD label. I have tried the product CD-LabelPrint, but to no avail.

Any thoughts on the CD label facilities on other products, such as Roxio or Nero???

Thanks

I have used Nero's labelling and it seems to work OK. Nothing exciting, but functional. It will probaby do what you want.

If you want to put mp3 tags on your recordings, it can be done through WMP, but you may want to check out Media Monkey as it does a good job of allowing you to edit the MP3 tags.

MP3 Tag is good - http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

I used LPRecorder and LPRipper to record and split my LPs into individual tracks. I then downloaded the FreeDB database (as it is available as lots of text files which can be used to extract track names) and renamed all the MP3 files to the track names (a large, generated batch file was used for this). After that MP3 Tag was used to add the MP3 tags.
