LG Plasma problem

I nkow nothing about televisions however today my 3 month old 50" plasma suddenly developed a rainbow which is about 6inches wide and runs from top to bottom. I take it this is not good but how bad I'm not too sure. Of course it is Sunday and can't contact any retailers. I have extended warranty-any answers out here for me.

call LG first as it is still under their warranty. Dont take any "it could take a month" crap. Tell them you want a replacement on the spot if that is the case.
