I'm investigating a Projector to add to my home theatre. Current preference is the Mitsuibishi HC3100. Whether I go for this projector or another, the issue is HDMI connection. At best, you can get a projector with one HDMI connection and one DVI connection. So if you have more than two components to connect to the projector via HDMI you have two options:
1. Upgrade to a new receiver that supports HDMI (even then the number of HDMI options can be limited)
2. Use a HDMI swtich box.
My current receiver is a Yamaha RX-Z1 (very good receiver) so I don't want to upgrade to another receiver. That leaves a HDMI switch box as a possible solution.
A few questions:
1. Can any one recommend a HDMI switch box?
2. What has been the experience?
3. I've tracked down a few on the internet, but all appear to have a remote control for switching - can you get an auto sensing switch box? If yes, does it work reliably?
