TV connected - but no signal!

Hi all,
I have a media centre PC connected by about 13 metres of composite video cable to my LG CRT TV in another room.
My Catalyst Radeon X1300 can detect the presence of the TV, but nothing I do to it or the TV results in a picture appearing.
Can anyone suggest a fix?
Thanks in advance,
Simon.

Re: TV connected - but no signal!

Well, perhaps
1) you video card is not configured to output composite. check your settings.
2) you TV is not set to use composite input source. check your settings.
3) both. check both settings.

Re: TV connected - but no signal!

Set the resolution of the display to 640 x 480 as the TV may not handle anything bigger.

Already tried 640x480. No luck!

Re: TV connected - but no signal!

As Oz said sounds settings like. From memory with the CCC when in advance mode, you need to drag and drop the TV icon on to either the primary display, or as a clone.

Also, have you tried the TV really close with a standard (factory) cable to eliminate your cabling?

Re: TV connected - but no signal!

Are you able to input other sources to your TV or is it just your Media Center. Try to connect something you know to 100% output a signal and see. This will help to determine if you have the correct settings on your TV like ozbear suggested and your tv is excepting a signal.

I know on my TV I have three AV inputs and on the one I am using now had to go into the TV settings and configure the AV input to except my input method (which was different from the default).
