Star Wars A New Hope Revisited

Those of you who are 'slightly more than casual' star wars fans are highly recommended to check out "Star Wars IV Revisited" by Adywan.
Adywan is a very competent digital editor who has spent 2 years color correcting, audio tweaking and fixing scores of elements, even adding new CGI elements of the Star Wars IV special edition. SW IV now looks and sounds (even more) wonderful. Whilst essentially a 'fan edit,' it is seen by many(including moi) as a definitive version, taking alot of the classic version, and finding a happier balance with the newer stuff that was added in the Special Edition.
I wont link to it directly of course, though there are different versions out there depending on what level of quality you like If you have a projector, this is a perfect chance to use it.
I think those that are very familiar with the movie will appreciate it most, but equally enjoyable for those that arent.
I'll just have the theatrical versions thank you very much.
lolz.. I thought having someone who is a 30 year SW maniac and staff member on a lucasarts affiliated website for over 7 years would be recommendation enough
Would I really be advocating 'The PTA Edition' of anything ??
The audio and color cleanups are worth the 'price' alone. In fact, there is a 'Purists' edition, that has been released taking out some of the more glaring(IMO cooler) additions, and just leaving the subtle changes and numerous fx cleanups. An exhaustive changelog is available on adywans release at fanedit.org
Purists like yourself would actually enjoy most of the changes IMO, it was made in consultation with a plethora of dedicated fans and tech consultants at a forum which I wont mention(not the place Im from either - just to clarify)
Indeed he is. No one knows when. Maybe sometime after he releases the movies in 3D.
At the moment, they are working on the live action TV series set between III and IV (not to be confused with 'Clone Wars' which is CG animated show aimed at younger audiences...but has some cool battles nonetheless)

yep. Also, the whole Jabba scene with Han trodding on his tail is out. I didnt mind that Jabba scene, but the tail trodding was a bit too much. They could have edited so that wasnt necessary but George thought it'd be funny to leave it that way
check the first sentence in my first post. Ive used quotation marks around what to plug into your favourite p2p search. There are DVD9/DVD5 or a decent xvid version for the bandwidth conscious. The DVD versions contain subtitles you can switch on to describe changes(amongst other things)
